Neurobiology

The overall aim of the course is to provide you with a broad introduction to the nervous system. Our objectives are to introduce you to the scientific concepts underlying the study of neural phenomena, and to provide you with an understanding of the principles underlying cellular, molecular, developmental, sensory, motor and cognitive neurobiology, through a combination of lectures and practical classes. Upon completion of this course you will have a core knowledge of neurobiology, appropriate for a future career in biology or for advanced study at Part II level. This course is taught by the departments of Physiology, Development & Neuroscience (PDN), Experimental Psychology, Pharmacology, and Zoology.
Lectures: take place on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 12 noon.
Practicals: take place every Tueday or Thursday 2pm-5pm
