Interests and research
Quantitative studies on gap class segmentation genes in higher and lower dipterans. The work is in collaboration with Dr Johannes Jaeger (Barcelona). Clogmia albipunctata gap gene proteins have been expressed in E. coli & purified proteins used to produce antibodies. These antibodies are currently being used to generate quantitative expression data by confocal microscopy of blastoderm stage Clogmia embryos.
