Our interests were originally focused on insect flight but have now expanded to a variety of questions centred on wings, flapping flight and biomechanics.  We have studied model organisms and systems as diverse as pterosaurs, birds, bats, micro-air vehicles, propellers, maple keys, samaras, flying fish and, of course, insects.
