Interests and research:
Onychophora as a model for the early evolution of the Arthropoda: Onychophorans are related to crown group arthropods, and some of their characters are regarded as basal for the Arthropoda. My current research focuses on the processes of segmentation and nervous system development, including analysis of relevant gene expression patterns.
