New Museum Site Redevelopment

The Department of Zoology is part of the New Museum Site Redevelopment. This exciting plan aims to create an outstanding city centre environment to foster world-class research and learning and to increase public engagement with The University’s mission. The first part of this plan has been the very successful redevelopment of the David Attenborough building to bring together the Department, the Museum of Zoology and the new Cambridge Conservation Initiative (CCI). Now we want to bring together Zoology, CCI and the Departments of Geography and Land Economy to build new synergies in conservation and sustainability across natural and human environments. The project will include new improved research space for Zoology but will also positively impact a wide range of University departments, students, and the broader Cambridge city community.

The project is a major strategic priority for the University and we will be seeking external support to help make it a reality. There are lots of different ways to get involved and multiple naming and recognition opportunities for individuals, companies or foundations that contribute to the project.

If you are interested in helping us to realise this vision and would like to have an informal conversation to learn more, then please contact, , Head of Department or in the University Development Office.
