Project List

Project List overview Aging and nutritional stress impacts on cellular processes Brain and behavioural disfunction in interspecific hybrids, and their role in speciation Conservation of wild bees in agricultural landscapes Convergent evolution of social regurgitation across Hymenoptera Eco-evolutionary dynamics of early animals Molecular cartography of in vivo biomolecular condensates Lifespan impacts of metabolic division of labour Life on the edge: local adaptation and conservation status of butterflies on the Orme Movement and connectivity conservation for biodiversity Population genomics of invasive Helicoverpa crop pests Predicting the Evolution of Influenza Repeated adaptation to altitude in Andean butterflies Reversing defaunation through rewilding and its consequences for biodiversity and ecosystem function The impacts of riparian within oil palm on insect movement and behaviour The mechanisms underlying colour polymorphisms in trumpetfish Towards an Integrative Understanding of Animal Weapons Tracking the past to predict the future Translational regulation via bimolecular condensates Accidental Allies: The Consequences of Symbiont Switching & Host-Range Expansion in Leaf-Footed Bugs Armoured for battle: male-male combat in leaf-footed bugs (Coreoidea) Cellular and molecular changes preventing senescence in long lived Heliconius butterflies Climate, Connectivity, and Diversification: The Biogeographic History of Tropical Butterflies Cooperation and conflict in antipredator signalling Developmental robustness - critical periods of brain development Eco-evolutionary dynamics of early animals Epigenetic mechanisms of critical period-plasticity during nervous system development Evolution and pharmacology of novel neurotransmitter receptors in parasitic nematodes Evolutionary epidemiology of parasites in Bumblebees From Weapons to Weapon Systems: An Integrated Framework for Animal Weapon Evolution Genetic basis and adaptive significance of yellow–blue colour variation in Lake Malawi cichlids Heat stress vulnerability during critical periods of nervous system development How does early-life social environment influence adult behaviour and morphology? Life in the Sagebrush: Behaviour, Ecology and Evolution of the Sagebrush Grig Marsupial brittlestars: development, provisioning and parental care in the sister group to chordates Metabolic regulators of nervous system development Plasticity and the defensive chemistry of Heliconius butterflies Regional drivers of seabird population change: Social behaviour and biology of Bumblebees Spider biodiversity responses to riparian restoration in Indonesian oil palm plantations Supporting smallholder oil palm farmer networks towards higher biodiversity systems The function of synchronisation in cicada swarms The genetic basis of toxin sequestration in Heliconius butterflies Understanding the impact of pesticides on ants Validating biodiversity-ecosystem function relationship theory in human-modified tropical ecosystem What are the long-term impacts of oil palm expansion on global biodiversity?
