Department of Zoology

The formal opening of the School of Biology's new Cambridge Biotomography Centre (www.cbc.zoo.cam.ac.uk) took place at 12noon on Friday 16th January.  Those attending included colleagues from Zoology, PDN and Biological Anthropology.  The CBC houses a state of the art Nikon XT 225 ST microCT scanner, and is based in the Austin Building, Department of Zoology.  The facility was opened with a short talk from Head of Department, Prof Michael Akam, a toast with a glass of bubbly, and the symbolic cutting of a red ribbon.

Colin Shaw (PAVE Research Group, Biological Anthropology) gave a short demonstration and declared the Centre open for business!
