This year, to celebrate its 50th anniversary, the European Molecular Biology Association (EMBO) has extended the range of subjects that it covers by electing 50 new members in the areas of Ecology and Evolution, and Neuroscience.  This is in addition to the normal election of new members nominated by the current membership.
