Biography

I am a visiting PhD student in the Deep-time Ecology Group, from the Nanjing Institute of Geology and Paleontology (NIGPAS), Chinese Academy of Sciences. I am focusing on the ecology and evolution of early animals, mainly based on the macrofossils from the Ediacaran Shibantan biota in South China. Currently I am working on the spatial analysis of Ediacaran trace fossils and community biology of the Shibantan biota in the Deep-time Ecology Group.

During 2017-2021, I majored in paleontology while working on the geochemistry in the Peking University, mainly focused on the pyrite sulfur isotope and the reconstruction of redox condition.

Research

I am interested in the late Ediacaran paleoecology and the evolution of early animals. I am working on the spatial point process analysis of Ediacaran trace fossils, to investigate the early animal behaviours and the responds to environmental heterogeneity. I am also collecting fossil data from the Shibantan biota for the studies on the community characteristics.
