The Zoology Department was delighted to invite Professor Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic to give the 2021 Equalities and Wellbeing Lecture on 

Why do so many incompetent men become leaders?

This thought-provoking lecture, attended by 350 people from around the world, was followed by a lively Q&A session, led by members of the Equalities and Wellbeing Committee.  Prof Chamorro-Premuzic kindly allowed us to record the lecture and share it more widely via YouTube.

 

 

Professor Chamorro-Premuzic’s interests lie at the interface of people analytics, talent management and leadership development. He is the Chief Talent Scientist at Manpower Group, co-founder of Deeper Signals and Metaprofiling, and Professor of Business Psychology at both University College London and Columbia University.

Professor Chamorro-Premuzic has published 10 books and over 200 scientific papers, which include ‘Why do so many men become incompetent leaders (and how to fix it)’ and ‘The Talent Delusion’.
