On Friday 20 November 2015, Dr Nancy Lane, Department of Zoology, University of Cambridge, was awarded a Doctorate of Science by Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, in recognition of her exceptional leading contribution to the advancement of women in the communities of science, engineering and technology, and distinction in the field of cell biology.
