Below is information on how to apply to become a post-doc in Professor Clutton-Brock's research group. If you have specific project ideas or are interested in topics that align with the research interest of one of the members of the group, please contact them directly.
Anyone applying to come here should realise that the group has no formal secretarial support. Consequently, we cannot help with raising funds, finding accommodation and making travel arrangements.
Professor Clutton-Brock has summarised advice for writing applications in his Survival Strategies for Scientists
POST-DOCS
................................................................................................
I welcome applications to join my group from potential post-docs at any time either to carry out independent projects of their choosing or to work with us either on the long-term studies of meerkats and mole-rats or on comparative studies of mammals, but cannot provide funds, so post-docs visiting the group will need to make their own plans to fund their time in Cambridge. Post-doc applicants might consider applying for college research fellowships which are advertised in the Cambridge
Reporter each summer. The Department charges visiting post-docs an annual bench fee of £1200 to cover the use of Departmental facilities. More information on potential funding sources, accommodation, and additional details on coming to Cambridge can be found through the
Office for Postdoctoral Affairs and the
Postdocs of Cambridge Society.
